Cantina del Pino's highly traditional Barbarescos sometimes feel like one of the best-kept secrets in Italian wine, but they require time in the cellar. Not so with their Langhe Nebbiolo, which is basically baby Barbaresco, and sourced from some of the region's best sites, like Gallina, Ovello, and Starderi. Some producer's Nebbiolos are really light and almost Pinot-like, while others have grip and even some aging potential. This is a perfect middleground.
