A relatively new cuvée called the Col du Loup, from a vineyard site that Cyril planted in 2014 to Grenache Noir. The astounding results have already propelled this cuvée to the top of Cyril’s offerings; it’s regarded by many French critics as a grand vin. The nose gushes with pure fruit, and that concentration is felt on the palate with some peppery and pollen-y aromas to add complexity. What’s admirable here is witnessing Grenache devoid of any sense of weight or ponderousness, all while retaining effusive fruit.
