We had this wine open for our last Saturday tasting, and boy, was it delicious! Cerasuolo is an Italian term that translates to "cherry red," referring to the wine's vibrant color rather than its flavor. This almost fuchsia-hued Cerasuolo is one you'll definitely want to serve with a light chill. The juicy, powerful notes of the Montepulciano grape shine through, delivering a rush of wild berries and a distinct texture from only 20 minutes of skin contact! Itâs a wine that craves the company of a pizza, yet it will seamlessly pivot to pair with a hearty grilled fish. ($29.69 with case discount)

If you're a fan of the legendary Valentini Cerasuolo, this wine belongs in your glass. While it has its own distinct identity, it offers the exact kind of complexity you're craving. Aged an extra year in cask to develop deeper nuances, the wine bursts with layers of wild berries, a whiff of smoky reduction and driving minerality. The tannins are present but subtle. Give it a little time to breathe, a light chill and watch it beautifully unfurl. This is a wine that will only benefit from a few years in the bottle.

The ultimate chilled red. The 2020 Joseph Dorbon Ploussard, Vieilles Vignes represents an elegant, extremely satisfying expression of the Jura's signature Ploussard grape. This wine has a delicate, pale red-and-copper color with subtle notes of crushed red cherry, pomegranate, cranberry, damp earth, and dried rose petals on the nose. The palate is incredibly silky, with ripe, bright red fruits, vibrant acidity, and a wonderfully mineral-driven, savory finish. ($37.79 with case discount)

If you haven't heard of the Limniona grape, you're not aloneâitâs a new discovery for us as well. Consider it the Beaujolais of Greece. Hailing from Tyrnavos, an inland region sheltered by Mount Olympus and renowned for its pink-skinned Roditis and aromatic reds, this is a wine meant to be served with a chill. Chill it down and drink up. If we had to describe this wine in one word, it would be: gulpable. ($26.99 with case discount)

Rossese takes on many expressions, ranging from dark and juicy to beautifully aromatic and fragrant. Cantina E Prie's take on the grape puts you straight in a villa overlooking the Mediterranean. Picture yourself enjoying a warm bowl of trofie al pesto while sipping on this bright, saline, sun-kissed red. It delivers gorgeous notes of dried red fruit, pomegranate and violets, all balanced by crunchy acidity and an elegant length. Pop it in the fridge for a light chill to maximize your enjoyment. ($23.40 with case discount)

Meet your ultimate alpine summer red. Schiava (aka Vernatsch, Trollinger, or Black Hamburg) is light and thirst-quenching, yet boasts an underlying complexity derived from 80- to 90-year-old vines. Radiant ruby in the glass, it opens with striking scents of red berries, rose petals, and forest floor before drifting into a weightless, light-bodied palate framed by fine, tea-like tannins. Imagine you've traded the beach house for a summer escape to Hudson or the Berkshiresâthis wine is the perfect accompaniment to any antipasti or pre-dinner noshes. ($28.80 with case discount)
