This is an exciting new estate whose wines feature a pristine fruit signature and impressive concentration. This Langhe Nebbiolo is sourced from Barolo vines that are too young to be included in proper Barolo, vinified in concrete and aged in Austrian oak barrels for 8 months. Importer: "Lara Rocchetti and Luisa Sala met in 2010 while studying at Pollentia’s Gastronomic Science University. Neither’s family had any prior viticultural experience, but they found themselves drawn to both the vine and to making wine. A chance encounter led them to a job at Trediberri. Then, after working in Burgundy for two years, Lara and Luisa decided to create their domain in 2019: LaLu!" It's rather easy to gloss over where they interned: Lafon and Tremblay! There's an elegance that follows from each of these estates, and Nicolas Oberto's time with them at Trediberri is most certainly a part of that, along with time spent learning organic farming at Conterno-Fantino from Claudia Conterno.
